Founded in 1999, the Psophos Quartet, winners at the London, Florence, Salzburg and Evian quartet competitions, were appointed New Generation Artists by the BBC for the 2006/2007 season. After a performance of Bartok’s 2nd quartet, the Psophos Quartet will be joined by Romain Guyot, clarinet, Richard Watkins, horn, Jean Owen, bassoon and David Ayre, bass, in what is thought to be the first performance in Guernsey of Schubert’s greatly loved octet.
